  • 1 August 1:00-4:00pm Saturday: $60 online ZOOM 3-hour workshop for the guild on Creative Fabric Collage by Marlene Glickman. Cost covers the workshop, a collage kit that has enough fabric for 20-30 5 inch square collages (you choose the color of kit you want from my website www.SilkDyes.com and email me with your choice by 25 July) and shipping the kit to you. I will also send you a write up of how to prep your ZOOM computer space for easy creating during the workshop (iron, tabletop ironing board, pressing paper (parchment works fine), scissors, needle and thread color to go with your kit choice (optional). No sewing machine is needed for this 3 hour workshop.

    The class will cover:

    1. The advantages in working monochromatically to simplify the design choice process.

    2. Simple fusing-a quick review if you took the mini-workshop/demo on Jul 18

    3. Layered landscapes

    4. 3D floral images

    5. Creating shadows and fog with sheers

    6. Foil fused to fabric creating suns, moons and other shapes
  • If you already have a Collage Kit by Marlene Glickman, the class cost is $30.
